The title of a really great novel by Allen Kurtzweil (preview here), which I read years ago and am due a re-read of, The Grand Complication is primarily about the search for a mysterious watch commissioned by Marie Antoinette. I read it over the course of several train journeys to and from a work course I was attending, and it kept me riveted.
This gorgeous eye patch reminded me of that watch, hence the title. Anyone who has known me (of known of me) for some time will remember my love of strange eye patches. For years my old SL Forums and Flickr icons were the same picture of me in my eXceSs ‘Corvine’ skin, white hair, and a silver eyepatch.
