Today we’re taking a little jolly to the Men Only District and Dark Style Fair, and I’m chucking a little bit of white into the mix. Y’know, just for a change ;-)
I have to start with this hair, because it’s sexy as hell and I love the fuck out of it. It is (of course) a female style, and yes… it’s gonna dig between your shoulderblades. Eh, for something that looks this good from the front, I’ll let that slide. It’s from Moon, and you’ll find it out at Dark Style Fair right now. More info on the event here.
I’ve layered on the slap today (yay!) and all of the makeup can be found at Dark Style Fair. The base layer is the Gudu facepaint by Arise. Over that I’ve laid some fabulously-named Jezebel eyeshadow by La Malvada Mujer. And, finally, a nice free gift from Veechi at the fair: the Avril liners.
Jewellery is provided by Angel of Metal (the fantastic necklace) and Maxi Gossamer (the earring, which was part of a gift pack at Black Fashion Fair, so be aware that those might not be available now).
Onto the shirt, which I picked up at Men Only Month. It’s by sYs and comes in several colour variants. Be warned: when you’re buying this, you’ll only see plain-coloured versions. However, inside each purchase pack, you’ll find that colour in a plain version, and also with nine other complementary colours. The extra versions have the plain colour as the front piece, with the arms and back in nine other colour options. In short: the plain colour that you pick will be the front panel of the shirt (as in, here I’m wearing the white/black shirt that came in the plain white colour pack).
The bracelet is part of a group gift set out at Chop Zuey Couture Jewellery right now. The group does cost L$350 to join, but since I make use of both the male and female gifts (which are plentiful, and at Christmas the store has two advent calendars out) it’s worth the fee. There are also free-to-buy gifts out for non-group members.
The pants by United Colors at Men Only District (scroll up to the first pic) threw me back to the 70s when I first tried them on. They’re Bay City Roller-short, so thank god they’re not available in tartan, or I’d be having a shang-a-lang moment O.o I loved these as soon as I put them on, but you’re going to have to dig for footwear that will go with them. I picked up these platforms by Suicidal Unborn at Dark Style Fair and they sized up nicely for this look.
Note: Men Only Month is the event, and Men Only District is the shopping area around the main event location. Both are always worth a gander, if you’re in the area :-)
Details, little details. These elegant little claws from Avanti at Dark Style Fair are a great accent, and I picked them up in black and white. They’re manually resizeable and you can easily fit them onto any standard avatar hand or mesh hand, and they’re copiable so you can have one on each finger if you like ;-)
You can just about make it out, but I found a fab new Slink nail applier set at Dark Style Fair, too. It’s called Fade to Black and it’s by SHOCK. Here’s a shot of the applier HUD:
